Having received GTPlayer Express with a M-Audio USB device last year it was not long until I had invested in the upgrade the the full pro version. Well recently the product has been updated again the for of inTone - Guitar. Intone opens software effects for live performances at home, on stage or in the studio.
A complete set of effects is included, 3rd party plug-ins can be used, too. We have the Mac version and it really is a versatile solution for home recording.
inTone | Guitar utilises multichannel audio interfaces and allows flexible assignments of inputs and outputs. It offers also audio file playback and recording. Instruments, MIDI controllers, software instruments and effects, and ReWire applications: It is all connected in one system with inTone | Guitar One mouse click, one key shortcut, one MIDI controller touch, to switch to another, completely different setup. Quick and easy selection of presets, web sharing of presets, high quality of sound.
Intone is an audio application for guitar players. It has been designed for live audio performances, so it is of great use to any guitarist playing at home, on stage, or in the studio. The application offers 32 built-in effects, including 4 preamp and 5 speaker simulations.
InTone features open architecture: any 3rd party plug-ins can be opened in the application, broadening its versatility. It utilizes multi-channel audio interfaces and allows flexible assignments of inputs and outputs.

The preset database provides easy access to new sound banks published by other users on the web. Program banks are based on XML – Max OS X and Windows use the same format. Track player provides one-click recording and playing of the recorded performances. Recorded files are automatically added to the playlist.
The software is based on and completely replaces the GT player, adding new features and a completely new graphic user interface. Intone is available in two versions, the Express and the Pro version for both Windows and Mac platforms.
The Express version contains less features and it is bundled with some M-Audio products, in this case it is locked to M- Audio hardware. The similar Express version working with any hardware can be purchased independently.
